Meet Our Partners: Barstons Child's Play
With this post, I'd like to introduce you to one of D.C.'s oldest and best-loved family-owned toy stores, and our newest partner, Barstons Child's Play in Chevy Chase.
This was, hands-down, one of my favorite destinations as a kid. Why? Because Child's Play not only fed my passion for plush, but my passion for reading. Tucked just inside the back entrance, which is painted to make you feel as if you're tunnelling through the most famous wardrobe of all time (another beloved feature of this gem), is an amazing selection of children's books.
So I could read a copy of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe while hugging a lion . . . What wasn't to love?
My advice? When you head to Child's Play this December to buy your Imagine Plush bee, make sure to use the back entrance! Go slowly through the wardrobe..... And, when you, Lucy, Susan, Peter, and Edmund finally make it into the store, don't forget to take a look at this book. It will pair well with our bee!
